The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) understands that government leaders face unique challenges:

  • Communicating across boundaries is more important than ever, but constitutional roadblocks make collaboration difficult.
  • Because government leaders are bound by financial constraints, they must take a creative approach in motivating their employees.

To address these and other challenges unique to government leaders, CCL has adopted a flexible approach to leadership development. We can work directly with your agency or partner with others who share our passion for leadership development.

Our 50 years of experience includes:

  • Work in mission-critical environments, including leadership training for coalition partners in a war zone.
  • Research projects that reflect the mission-driven, values-based needs of government leaders.
  • The world’s largest, confidential 360-degree assessment database.

Depending on your leadership development needs, timeframe, and budget, we can either customize a program for your organization or you can choose from one of our off-the-shelf products.

CCL is a pre-qualified vendor for the programs and services available on the Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) GSA Schedule (Schedule 874 – MOBIS).

CCL Partnership with Government Clients

Because of CCL’s long history as a government partner, we understand what it takes to develop effective leaders. Here are a few examples of CCL’s governmental impact:

  • We designed and delivered a program to mentor executives and to create high-performance teams in the Department of Defense.
  • We developed culturally sensitive leadership training for senior Afghan Army intelligence officers — delivered in Kabul in their native language and hailed as “groundbreaking” by the Command.
  • We trained high-potential officers in the U.S. Airforce through our Leadership Development Program.
  • We created an executive coaching program for the Federal Agency Technical Division that increased efficiency and improved communication across the workplace.
  • We customized a Coaching for Performance workshop for senior-level technical leaders.

When I went to the Leadership at the Peak program, there was a fair amount of uncertainty in my company, and there were some stark contrasts in the 360-degree feedback I got. It was eye-opening, and the CCL coaches did a good job of helping me put it into context.
