At the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®), we understand that government workers face unique challenges:

  • Communicating across boundaries is more important than ever, but constitutional roadblocks make collaboration difficult.
  • Because government leaders are bound by financial constraints, they must take a creative approach in motivating their employees.

To address these and other challenges unique to leading at government agencies, we offer government leadership development programs and training. We are a pre-qualified vendor on the GSA Training Schedule and can work directly with your agency or partner with others who share our passion for leadership development.

Our 50 years of experience includes:

  • Work in mission-critical environments, including leadership training for coalition partners in a war zone.
  • Research projects that reflect the mission-driven, values-based needs of government leaders.
  • The world’s largest confidential 360-degree assessment database.

Depending on your needs, timeframe, and budget, we can customize a government leadership development program for workers at your organization, or you can choose from one of our off-the-shelf programs or products.

CCL is a pre-qualified vendor for the programs and services available on the Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) GSA Schedule (Schedule 874 – MOBIS).

Our Partnerships for Government Leadership Development Programs

Because of our long history as a government partner, we understand what it takes to develop effective leaders. Here are a few examples of CCL’s governmental impact:

  • We designed and delivered a government leadership training program to mentor executives and to create high-performance teams in the Department of Defense.
  • We developed culturally sensitive leadership training for senior Afghan Army intelligence officers — delivered in Kabul in their native language and hailed as “groundbreaking” by the Command.
  • We trained high-potential officers in the U.S. Air Force through our Leadership Development Program (LDP)®.
  • We created an executive coaching program for the Federal Agency Technical Division that increased efficiency and improved communication across the workplace.
  • We customized a Coaching for Performance workshop for senior-level technical leaders.

CCL provided an outstanding senior leader development workshop for our U.S. Army Reserve Brigade during our 2-week annual training period. In the short amount of time we had, we tackled leading strategically, collaborating across boundaries, developing talented subordinates, having talent conversations, and developing a winning leadership culture. The Brigade put the tools to action and is the recipient of 2 prestigious awards; CCL helped us get there!

Senior Army Leader and former Brigade Commander

When I went to the Leadership at the Peak program, there was a fair amount of uncertainty in my company, and there were some stark contrasts in the 360-degree feedback I got. It was eye-opening, and the CCL coaches did a good job of helping me put it into context.
