Our world-renowned, highly personalized senior executive leadership program focuses on C-suite challenges and provides individualized development in the context of advancing the organization.
Succession Reimagined
70% of organizations are operating without a formal succession plan. Is yours one of them? Getting transitions wrong is costly, erasing an estimated $1 trillion in market value every year. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our research-based approach to succession planning and leadership development will help your organization build leadership readiness for the roles you have now, the roles evolving next, and the roles your strategy will create.

A Better Way To Build Leadership Readiness, Grounded in Our Ongoing Research
Rethinking Succession for an Uncertain Future
Just 8% of HR leaders feel confident in their succession bench, even as CEO turnover and board scrutiny climb.
Most succession plans answer one question: Who’s next? But naming the next person on a static list isn’t the same as preparing them to lead or building a bench that holds as roles keep shifting.
Succession Reimagined is a fundamentally different way to approach succession planning training. We help shift your organization’s approach to the succession planning and leadership development process to move from a static list of names to a dynamic network of future-ready leaders.
Succession Reimagined is a 2.5-day working session bringing HR and executive teams together with our leadership experts and senior-level peers to rethink leadership readiness across 2 levels:
- How leaders prepare others to carry leadership forward, and
- How the organization strengthens continuity across the enterprise.
Who Should Attend
Succession Reimagined is a designed for senior business executives and HR leaders to attend together: those who understand the importance of, and who are responsible for, both the now and the next stage of growth at their organizations.
What Participants Learn
Participants in our succession planning training learn:
- A different way to lead succession — not just ideas, but the mindset, practical tools, and shared language to own their role today and guide their teams toward who leads next.
- How to cultivate a succession-centric culture where developing future leaders is a shared priority, and how to build the systems that make leadership readiness a real differentiator, whatever the future holds.
- Readiness for the now, the next, and the what-if.
Over 2.5 days with us, participants move from:
- A static list of replacements → a living network of leaders who are ready-now, ready-next, and ready for the what-if
- Succession seen as HR’s job → succession viewed as a shared responsibility owned by business and HR together
- Preparing for a known, predictable future → building readiness for multiple, unpredictable futures
- Wisdom that leaves with people → wisdom and judgment transferred to multiple successors
- Hidden succession risk → visibility into readiness, risk, and bench strength before transitions happen
Benefits of Our Succession Planning Training
Organizations gain:
- Clearer visibility into succession risk and readiness gaps
- A stronger, more connected leadership bench
- Greater continuity through transitions, change, and transformation
- Leadership readiness that holds across multiple plausible futures — not just one
HR & talent leaders gain:
- A clear line of sight into where succession is strong, and where it breaks down
- Stronger pipeline depth and bench strength
- Greater confidence in how leaders transfer experience and judgment
- Faster movement from conversation to action
Senior leaders gain:
- A clearer view of their role in succession and leadership legacy
- Practical ways to transfer their wisdom to multiple successors
- Time and space to think beyond the day-to-day
- Connections with senior-level peers facing similar pressures
What This Working Session Is & What It Isn’t
Succession Reimagined will change how participants lead succession planning, using our research-based strategies to focus on how the organization’s current leaders pass on wisdom, judgment, and experience to its next leaders.
This isn’t consulting. It isn’t assessment. It’s dedicated time to step away from day-to-day demands and focus on one of the most important questions facing the organization: How do you prepare leaders for what’s next?
Here’s a clear breakdown of what the session is and isn’t:
| What It Is | What It Isn’t |
|---|---|
| A hands-on, working session where participants bring a real succession challenge and leave with a plan | A lecture or a course to sit back and watch Individual leadership assessment or executive coaching |
| A shift in how participants lead — moving from a replacement process to a dynamic leadership-readiness system | Talent-selection consulting |
| Grounded in CCL research and applied to your own context | A holistic individual leadership development program |
| Practical frameworks and shared language participants can take straight back to their teams | A service that builds or rewrites participants’ talent-management process |
