Dr. Cameron is an accomplished leadership & organizational development consultant with an exceptional background in successfully implementing innovative, world-class initiatives and executive education programs – aligned with organizational strategy – that drive profitability and business success.
She has worked with a range of organizations, from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups in industries that include health care, high-tech, financial services, and more. She joins our team following her role at Harvard University as an internal consultant, strategist, and executive coach to its Deans and Department Administrators, and a curriculum design and facilitation specialist for executive education in Harvard’s Center for Workplace Development. Her experience has taken her around the world where she has consulted for clients in Europe , Asia, and the Middle East.
Dr. Cameron is a seasoned faculty member with considerable experience in classical and contemporary learning methodologies, including case method, action learning, simulations, critical incident reviews, mentoring/coaching, and virtual learning. In addition to her ease in the traditional classroom venue, she is completely “at home” in online learning venues, having been a professor in the worldwide programs at Penn State University, University of Phoenix, and others for over a decade. A topic of particular interest to CC is the challenges that women face as they aspire to higher-level leadership roles in their career paths. Her dissertation research revealed a strong viability of learning and development by virtual mentoring, which she enthusiastically recommends for women and men as one of the myriad opportunities available for personal and professional development. CC’s true passion lies in supporting leaders and managers in amplifying their performance, influence, and impact at work.
Toward that aspiration, she co-authored a dynamic leadership book titled Play to Your Strengths: Stacking the Deck to Achieve Spectacular Results for Yourself and Others, which was published in 2009 by Career Press. Through facilitation, coaching, and unique interventions, she is a catalyst who sparks movement toward constructive change, full engagement, and a sense of fulfillment at the workplace among individuals and teams alike.
Dr. Cameron received her PhD in Organization and Management, specializing in Leadership, from Capella University in 2015, graduating with distinction (President’s List). She earned her MBA degree in 2001 from Westminster College, specializing in Organizational Behavior, with Delta Mu Delta honors.
Dr. Cameron is currently an active member in the Academy of Management, the American Management Association, Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD), Organization Development Network, American Association of University Women, and Business and Professional Women International.
