Prior to joining CCL®, Alice provided leadership training, facilitation, and organizational consultation services for clients within military, government, and non-profit settings. Specializing in strategic planning, leadership team development, work team dynamics, creativity, change management, and organizational culture, she has designed and facilitated learning programs and group strategic sessions that encourage participation and generate energy and commitment to action. In her former role as the creator and Executive Director of the U.S. Navy’s highly regarded Center for Organization Development and in her independent practice as an organizational development consultant, she routinely provided training as well as meeting design and facilitation services for work teams and for groups ranging in size from 12 to several hundred participants. Alice has successfully coached leaders and leadership teams at all levels, particularly within government, healthcare, and human service organizations. A retired U.S. Navy Captain, Alice has continued to provide leadership coaching to military leaders in senior roles within the military healthcare system and previously served as the Director of Leadership Education for the U.S. Navy Medical Department.

Current Role

In her current position as the Director of CCL’s Organizational Leadership Practice, Alice applies her extensive facilitation and consulting experience to the design and delivery of leadership engagements for executive and senior level leaders of organizations in a wide range of industries. She supports business leaders in creating strategic direction, implementing change, developing leadership and organizational capabilities, creating engagement, and achieving results. She designs customized engagements and facilitates the strategic conversations and actions needed to apply leadership principles at the system, team and individual levels. She guides organizational leaders in developing the collective leadership capability that will advance their business performance. Alice also holds an Adjunct Faculty position in the Division of Engineering at the Penn State University School of Graduate Professional Studies where she teaches graduate level courses in leadership and creative problem-solving.

Educational Background

Alice earned a Ph.D. in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She also holds graduate degrees in several discipline, including Adult Education and Public Health.

Alice’s publications include articles in peer-reviewed journals in both the healthcare and psychology disciplines. She is an active member in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the American Psychological Society (APS), the Academy of Management (AOM), and is a contributing Fellow of the Occupational Research Centre, UK.
