Our 2026–2027 H. Smith Richardson, Jr. Visiting Fellow
Jeffrey Yip, PhD, will serve as the Center for Creative Leadership’s H. Smith Richardson, Jr. Visiting Fellow for 2026–2027. He is an Associate Professor of Management at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, where he teaches in the Executive MBA, the Management of Technology MBA, and the Technology Leadership Program with CIO Canada.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in leadership development, with research and an applied work focus on leadership conversations, listening, boundary spanning, and AI‑enabled leadership development.
His research is published in the Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, as well as leading academic journals including the Academy of Management Annals, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. He is particularly known for his ability to translate rigorous research into practical tools and methods for leaders.
In his role at CCL, Jeffrey will contribute to global research activities in collaboration with CCL. He will also contribute to AI‑related leadership work, advise on research and innovation projects, and collaborate on applied research and thought leadership.
