As Chief of Staff, Stephen Martin serves as the liaison for CCL’s Boards of Trustees and Governors, the executive team, and Office of the President; he directs and produces executive communications; and he co-leads the organizational strategy function. Formerly, he served as Director of the Brand and Communications team for CCL Global Marketing, where he oversaw brand management and global communications strategy, including content marketing, SEO, social media, PR, and media relations.
Additionally, Stephen is certified by CCL as an executive leadership coach and provides executive coaching services to CCL clients and private clients.
Formerly a full-time business and education journalist, Stephen has collaborated with executives on op-eds and columns for many of the world’s top media outlets and has created speeches and presentations for corporate, education, and NGO audiences globally. He serves as Communications Consultant for the U.S. advisory and search firm Prime Chief of Staff, and he previously co-wrote a bi-weekly guest column on social innovation in the Raleigh News & Observer.
Stephen earned a BA in English with honors at Duke University and an MA in Applied Arts & Sciences, with a focus on international studies, from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. He holds a Certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online.
