Scott Bohannon Named CCL President & CEO
Scott Bohannon, an accomplished executive and innovator in the leadership development, HR, and technology industries, will serve as the next President and CEO of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)®.
Bohannon was most recently Senior Client Partner and a president at global management consulting firm Korn Ferry. Prior to that, he served as CEO of AchieveForum, a global, full-service leadership development company where he led a major revitalization of its services and operations. The company was acquired by Korn Ferry in 2019.
Additional highlights from Bohannon’s career include teaching Law & Economics at the University of Virginia, where he also earned an M.A., J.D., and Ph.D.; practicing law at Sidley & Austin in Washington, D.C.; and spending 12 years at the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), where he ran the firm’s largest division and launched programs for a broad array of corporate executives. Scott also founded his own communications and technology company and served as CEO of Canada-based Info-tech Research Group.
On January 21, Bohannon will succeed longtime President and CEO John R. Ryan, who has successfully led CCL since 2007.
“Scott emerged as our top choice on the strength of his extensive experience as a transformational leader in our field and his personal leadership style, which is characterized by high energy, humility, curiosity, and collaboration,” said Cutler Dawson, who is chairman of CCL’s Board of Governors and led the search committee that recommended Bohannon.
“Like so many of us in the CCL community, Scott feels strongly about the power of our mission and the role we can play in addressing the biggest challenges that organizations and society face,” said Peter Richardson, chairman of CCL’s Board of Trustees. “We look forward to a bright future of continued growth and impact under Scott’s leadership.”
“I’ve admired CCL my whole career. It’s a tremendous honor to join such an accomplished and mission-driven organization,” Bohannon said.
“I’m grateful to CCL’s Board of Trustees for the opportunity to work with and learn from such a talented team across the globe. In partnership with our highly engaged CCL community of valued clients, stakeholders, and friends, we’ll continue to elevate our impact in a world where leadership development matters more than ever.”
