Diane Bergeron Presents Keynote at Bereaved Parents of the USA Annual Conference

CCL researcher Diane Bergeron’s keynote talk, “Sailing Uncharted Waters: Navigating Loss and What Comes After,” is based on her research on grief and loss in the workplace. Diane has a Grief and bereavement certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She is also hosting a workshop called “The Demands-Resources Model of Bereavement.” In this workshop, participants will brainstorm about obvious (e.g., social support, exercise, sleep) and non-obvious (e.g., a nonjudgmental listener, a sense of control, rituals) types of resources. Participants will walk away with a “grief framework,” a better understanding of the demands of the griever role, and more resources with which to manage this role.

Goals of BPUSA are to offer support, understanding, encouragement and hope to fellow bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents after the death of their loved one.
