Current Role
Ramya Balakrishnan is a Data Scientist at CCL and a member of the innovation team. Her current work includes large-scale data collection, building AI and LLM-based models, developing simulation environments using intelligent agents, and creating research-based applications that support leadership programs and organizational insight. She specializes in converting complex research findings into actionable tools through automation, dashboards, and custom applications. Her thought leadership sits at the intersection of AI, data ethics, and applied social science, delivering equitable, data-driven solutions to enhance leadership development.
Experience
Ramya’s expertise is in analyzing data by using advanced algorithms to extract valuable information, and she has extensive experience in the fields of data science and machine learning. She participates in active research in the fields of leadership challenges and equitable, inclusive & diverse cultures. She’s an active member of the Women in Data Science organization and an active speaker in this group, sharing innovative techniques in data science.
Before joining us, Ramya was a data analyst at Tokai Carbon GE LLC, where she worked closely with the executive team to analyze sales data and recommend methods to improve sales based on the results.
Educational Background
Ramya has an MS in Information Technology with a Data Science concentration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Anna University in India.
