About the Program Experience
Maximizing Your Leadership Potential: Our Frontline Manager Leadership Program
To get the best performance from others, leaders need to master multiple roles — player, manager, coach, and leader. Successful frontline managers learn how to select the most appropriate leadership role for the situation, especially when time is tight and performance counts.
For example, they must be able to discern when to do the work themselves, and when to delegate. The “player” mindset can get in the way of creating results through others and developing a high-performing team, so at times they must shift to act as a “coach” of their direct reports.
Our frontline manager leadership program helps these leaders learn to determine what each situation calls for and shift among these roles as needed.
Who Should Attend
Maximizing Your Leadership Potential is designed to address the unique challenges experienced by those who lead themselves and others: Frontline or first-line managers responsible for people and / or projects.
What Participants Learn

- Use the role of manager to deliver feedback and improve performance
- Use the role of coach to develop others and truly collaborate by listening to understand and asking powerful questions
- Use a variety of influencing styles and tactics to increase leadership on teams and projects

The course demonstrated to me leadership strategies and provided a safe environment to test and practice those strategies. The most valuable pieces of the experience were my engagement with peers, who all wanted to improve their leadership skills and provided helpful feedback, and the coaches, who all sought to understand my goals and worked to help me build a personal strategy to achieve those goals. This experience was an excellent use of my time and a great investment by my company that has already started to pay dividends.

CCL gives participants great tools that they can use when they get back to their everyday jobs and provide the follow-up that is so lacking in other programs. There is an overall genuineness from the CCL instructors that other programs do not have and the instructors have credentials and life experience to back it. I left with tools, instruction on how to use them, and more importantly, resources that allow me to use them correctly. I highly recommend this course to anyone who has any feelings of moving into leadership or is in leadership.
