Experience

Tim is a young professional with experience in higher education administration, community organizing, and nonprofit administration. Since graduating from Guilford College, where he served on multiple administrative committees, Tim has worked with Greensboro-area nonprofits focused on social change such as the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) of the Carolinas and the Beloved Community Center as both a community organizer and administrative assistant. Before coming to CCL, he spent a year working as a facilitator and program coordinator with the National Conference for Communities and Justice (NCCJ) of the Piedmont Triad and was an advisor at their Anytown program in 2014. He started at CCL as a Research Assistant, returned as a Program Coordinator for Leadership Beyond Boundaries, and joined Societal Advancement’s evaluation team in 2017.

Current Role

As the Evaluation Analyst on the Societal Advancement team, Tim conducts quantitative and qualitative data analysis in support of programming across our service sectors of K12, Higher Education, Nonprofit Organizations, and Health. He oversees evaluations, data collection, analysis, and reporting for standard programs, serving as a primary liaison with the operations team. In addition, he works to highlight stories of impact and work with clients through various media and partnerships.

Educational Background

Tim graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in 2013 from Guilford College, where he double majored in Peace and Conflict Studies and Political Science. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Affairs from UNC-Greensboro and will graduate in May 2019.

Professional Affiliations

Tim serves on the Program Advisory Committee for AFSC of the Carolinas and on the Board of Emerging Ecology, a local nonprofit he helped to found. He has completed CCL’s Leadership Essentials and Leadership Fundamentals courses, is trained in facilitation using the Technologies of Participation methodology, and is a graduate of the Greensboro City Academy.
