Montserrat Auso


With over 20 years of international experience in leadership and organizational culture change, Montserrat (Montse) lead intensive, transformational programs for Fortune 500 companies around the world. Montse founded and directed El Sol Institute, which delivered customized programs in organization transformation, culture change, high-performance teamwork and coaching. She was a senior associate for multiple consulting firms, specializing in accelerating business results through engagement, conflict utilization, and organizational alignment.

Montse is passionate about multicultural and global teamwork and has facilitated cross-cultural groups in USA, Europe, Latin America, India, China, and Russia. She also enjoys working with governments, non-governmental organizations, schools, and universities.

Montse has a diverse background as a geologist, family therapist, and director of mental health centers. A native of Venezuela and Spain, she is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

Current Role

As senior faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership, Montse designs and delivers international custom programs in Europe and Latin America, and facilitates open-enrollment programs in North America, including the Leadership Development Program, and the Women’s Leadership Program.

Educational Background

Montserrat holds a master of science in geology from the University of Utah and a master in clinical social work (with family and systems specialty) from Bryn Mawr College. She is a certified practitioner of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and Hypnotherapy. She is certified in a variety of assessments including 360 By Design®, Benchmarks®, the Leadership Circle®, and Work Place Big 5®. Montse holds an Associate Certified Coach certification from the International Coach Federation. She has been trained as Mindfulness Facilitator at the Mindfulness Awareness Research Center of UCLA.
