Jessica Glazer

Experience

Prior to joining CCL, Jessica spent over 12 years managing dual careers in academia and business and for the past six years, Jessica has had her own training and consulting company, through which she has delivered numerous positive psychology-related speeches, seminars, and trainings for corporate clients. Jessica began her teaching career as an instructor and appointed advisor at Harvard University, where she taught in both the Psychology and English Departments; she received a teaching award for every course that she taught. She also worked at The Johns Hopkins University, where she served as a lecturer in the Psychology Department; her course on positive psychology was rated as “one of the best courses at Hopkins.” While at Hopkins, she oversaw the Career Programs and Education Department at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, managing a large team of career experts across four campuses to deliver all MBA and alumni career advising. She previously worked at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she managed and developed relationships with consulting and health care companies. At the start of her career, Jessica gained experience working in her hometown of New York in the areas of health care/pharma, construction, hospitality, and high-end art auctions.

Current Role

Jessica Glazer is a Senior Faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership. She designs and delivers custom programs that meet the most pressing development needs of leaders today. She has experience partnering with clients from a vast range of industries, including health care, finance, technology, consumer product goods, insurance, manufacturing, automotive, and construction management. Jessica is also an instructor for many of CCL’s open enrollment programs and serves as the Lead Faculty for the Maximizing Leadership Potential program. She is also co-managing several CCL research projects. Jessica is a CCL-certified Executive Coach, and is a key driver of the Center’s work in the area of neuro-based, holistic leadership.

Educational Background

Jessica holds a BA in Sociology from Brandeis University and an MS in Mental Health Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University. She completed her graduate counseling internship at the Sheppard Pratt Center for Eating Disorders, where she provided individual and group counseling to adult and adolescent inpatients. Jessica is certified in a broad range of assessments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, FIRO Assessments, Workplace Big Five, 4Mat Learning Style Assessment, Innovation Strengths Preference Indictor, Strengths Deployment Inventory, Innovation Style Indicator, Gallup StrengthsFinder, and CCL’s full range of 360 Benchmarks assessments.

Professional Affiliations

Jessica has presented as a keynote speaker and advanced practitioner at many US and international conferences. Her work centers on the intersection of neuroscience, positive psychology, and leadership development, and includes topics such as communication, resilience, career development, and enacting behavioral change to reach personal and professional potential. She is affiliated with the American Counseling Association and is a member of the National Counseling Honor Society, Chi Sigma Iota. Jessica is a member of the Greensboro Guild of Family Services and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Western North Carolina.
