With over 17 years of project management experience, Janet has served the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) in several roles, implementing efficiencies within various operational systems. Her knowledge of project management methodologies, ability to instill trust, and lead teams has enabled the successful implementation of large-scale projects. Janet facilitates several programs within the Leadership Beyond Boundaries (LBB) portfolio such as the LBB Train-the-Trainer Program, Leadership Essentials and Creative Leadership Conversations programs. Janet has also contributed to the design and delivery of initiatives that serve the youth, non-profit organizations, faith based organizations and entrepreneurs. These interactions consist of the YMCA Leadership and Mentoring Program, Charlotte Rotary, Our Lady of the Rosary, Immaculate Heart of Mary, ANDE (Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs), BBVA Youth Entrepreneurs and the USAID Municipal Competitiveness Program in Latin America.
Before joining the Center Janet was employed by Bankers Trust, New York as a financial analyst on the trading floor. Working in the Global Markets division she was involved with mergers and acquisitions and implemented their initial twenty-four hour trading and recording system in Japan. Janet’s life experiences have contributed to her views of what’s going on in the world and what’s happening closer to home. Her ?Wall Street to Main Street? perspective keeps her engaged in local and global activities and on the pulse of today’s issues.
As a member of the LBB group she manages multiple large-scale complex projects. These projects involve the co-creation and delivery of leadership development content, methodologies and tools in developing countries. These countries include Africa, Cambodia, Chile, El Salvador, India, Jamaica, Peru, Thailand and the United States.
Janet earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Business Administration from Saint John’s University. 4MAT certified. Leadership Beyond Boundaries Train-the-Trainer certified.
For several years Janet managed a mobile notary service, was a member of the Lexington Charity League, the NC Piedmont-Triad chapter of PMI (Project Management Institute), and meets with guests from the International Visitor Leadership Program hosted by the Piedmont Triad Council for International Visitors (PTCIV). Janet was a guest columnist with The Dispatch, her local hometown newspaper, providing thoughts on leadership and seeing the humor in every day’s lessons of life.
