Corey is a former faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership’s Colorado Springs campus. Engaged in both facilitation and research, Corey’s work focused on such topics as executive presence, vision, lessons of experience and the challenges of senior executive leadership. Through research, design and facilitation, Corey worked with and supported clients representing manufacturing, banking, media, Olympic sport, national associations, law firms, and professional services organizations.
She also served as a faculty member in the Senior Executive Research Initiative which focuses on understanding leadership at the most senior levels. In this capacity, she explored and developed new content and research based on the challenges of senior executive leaders. In addition, she concentrated on the needs of senior lawyer-leaders, in house counsel, government lawyers, early career lawyers, and law firms. Her research served as the basis for the development of customized solutions for organizations, law firms, national associations, government agencies, state bars and law schools.
Corey earned a B.A. in Biology from University of Colorado in Boulder and a Master’s degree in Ecology from the Florida Institute of Technology. Corey has authored a variety of popular press and peer reviewed journal articles that have appeared in Chief Learning Officer, Leadership Excellence, Leadership Review, and HR Executive. She co-authored the guidebooks Building an Authentic Leadership Image and Creating a Vision. She has co-authored multiple white papers including Grooming Top Leaders: Cultural Perspectives from China, India, Singapore and the United States and 10 Trends: A Study of Senior Executives’ Views on the Future.
Corey has presented research papers at professional conferences such as Academy of Management, International Leadership Association, Society for Consulting Psychologists, The General Counsel Forum and the Corporate Counsel Institute.
