Chris is a retired military officer and leadership practitioner with over 30+ years’ experience in leadership roles and in developing other leaders. He specializes in designing and delivering executive leadership solutions for Fortune 500 clients and for large clients in the public sector. Chris has led large, complex organizations in North America, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Africa, and now brings a deep portfolio of experiences to executive education at CCL. He also has had roles in national defense policy, in strategy, and in large-scale global operations.
In his most recent role prior to joining CCL, he managed post-graduate studies at the Army’s Center for Strategic Leadership, a subsidiary of the Army War College, and where he also taught in the War College’s Master’s program. He designed, resourced, and directed all executive education and strategic simulation programs for senior Army executives and military leaders, including experiential learning activities and post-graduate level curriculum.
Chris serves as a Leadership Solutions Partner on the global markets faculty, designing and delivering custom leadership development solutions. With experience in the public sector at the US Department of Defense, Chris now has extensive experience in the private sector with Fortune 500 companies. His clients include the aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, pharma, telecommunications, IT services, home furnishings, and professional services sectors. He has worked internationally in Europe and the Middle East and with participants from six continents. Building on decades of leadership practical application, he connects the leadership competencies desired by client organizations and their leaders with the world-class portfolio of CCL® leadership solutions.
He is certified to deliver feedback in CCL 360-degree assessments, the FIRO-B®, WorkPlace Big Five 4.0™, Learning Type Measure®, Change Style Indicator™, 4Mat Learning Type Measure®, FourSight Innovation Indicator®, Influence Style Indicator® and various industry-leading experientials.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington and Lee University. For post-graduate studies, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Science in National Security Studies with Honors from the National Defense University, concentrating in Middle Eastern studies.
