Typically, the Center’s leadership programs are built on the developmental model of Assessment, Challenge and Support.   • Learning by doing. Most of us test new methods and develop new skills through experience. Consequently, effective training must provide executives with opportunities to try out what they learn, practice new skills, make mistakes and learn from them.

Kim Palmisano, M.S.
Strategic Business Partner, Leadership Solutions

With 20 years of experience in organizational development, training and sales, Kim has served hundreds of executives in Fortune 500 companies. Her experience also includes developing and presenting curriculum for corporate training and college instruction.She has held positions in the pharmaceutical arena as director of organizational development and director of sales training. Prior to her OD and training experience, Kim spent 8 years in healthcare sales, winning multiple performance awards.

In addition to her work experience, Kim has served in leadership positions in nonprofit and educational organizations.

Kim is a Strategic Business Partner with the Center for Creative Leadership’s North American Business Development Group. She has deep expertise in pharmaceuticals as well as experience working with global clients representing a diverse range of industries from manufacturing to consumer products and includes such variety as healthcare, retail, education, technology, and non-profit. She brings passion and energy to her role partnering with clients to customized development experiences to increase leaders’ capability and impact through a range of solutions at the individual, team, and organizational level. Kim also co-facilitates CCL’s Assessment Certification Workshop and serves on design teams that include Learning Transfer, Innovation and Creativity along with the Women’s Leadership Experience.


Jennifer Deal, Ph.D.
Senior Research Scientist

Jennifer Deal is a senior research scientist at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®). Her work focuses on global leadership and generational differences. She is the manager of CCL’s World Leadership Survey and the Emerging Leaders research project. In 2002, Dr. Deal co-authored Success for the New Global Manager (JosseyBass/Wiley Publishers), and has published articles on generational issues, executive selection, cultural adaptability, global management and women in management. Her second book, Retiring the Generation Gap (Jossey-Bass/Wiley Publishers), was published in 2007.

An internationally recognized expert on generational differences, she has spoken on the topic on six continents (North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia), and she looks forward to speaking to Antarctic penguins about their generational issues in the near future.

She holds a B.A. from Haverford College and a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Ohio State University.
