How will radical transparency impact what we say and do in organizations?

Everything is online in wired companies, sometimes only thinly protected by corporate firewalls. With different motivations, hackers, whistleblowers, and platforms such as Wikileaks, Glassdoor, and CareerBliss seek out and leak organizational secrets.

Even within controlled corporate environments, social media and camera phones make private information effortless to share by employees. Will transparency become the new normal?

What happens when corporate communications, personal salary and performance data, IP and plans are no longer private? Will the naked organization enable and encourage greater equity, higher employee satisfaction, and better performance?

What happens when organizations recognize and embrace more transparent practices rather than strive to maintain secrecy?
