CCL, a top-ranked, global provider of leadership development, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new San Diego facility in Torrey Pines by hosting 250 guests for the San Diego Chamber of Commerce’s Circles of Influence event.
CCL faculty and staff invited guests to network with each other while exploring leadership challenges facing individuals, organizations, and the city of San Diego.
“We were honored when the Chamber approached us to host their guests and VIPs,” said campus Managing Director Russ McCallian. “We built our new facility with the intention of being a beacon of leadership for the San Diego community. We intend that this event is the first of many to come.”
The Torrey Pines facility boasts 4 classrooms, 12 meeting rooms, 25 offices and a variety of standing, sitting and adjustable workstations. Its clean and colorful design embraces the surrounding environment with a large open-air patio along with an original, interactive Kelsey Montague Hang Glider mural, a nod to the hang gliders who sail past from the nearby San Diego Glider Port.
Guests were treated to spectacular ocean and golf course views, hors d’oeuvres and beverages as they mingled with San Diego Chamber Board of Directors, CCL’s Board of Governors and executive leadership. CCL’s expertise in the leadership development field was on display with four leadership-themed networking stations.
CCL is ranked among the world’s Top 5 providers of executive education by Financial Times and is the only provider with a sole focus on leadership. The San Diego campus draws more than 1,500 leaders each year, with most participants arriving from out of state and many from outside the United States. Campus officials estimate Center participants contribute more than a million dollars to the San Diego tourism industry each year.
