February 2016 —

A new partnership between two leading education and research organisations will accelerate the impact of individual, organisational and societal leadership development throughout India.

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®), a top-ranked, global provider of leadership development, and the Mumbai-based S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, rated among India’s top 10 management institutions, have entered into a two-year agreement that begins this month.

Together, the two organisations will collaborate on research and workshops focused on developing senior leaders in business and the social and public sectors. Their work will include a special emphasis on innovation, women in management and family managed businesses.

“It is a privilege for CCL to join forces with such a renowned institution in India,” said John R. Ryan, CCL’s President and CEO. “We are confident that our collaboration will drive lasting results for a wide array of for-profit and not-for-profit organisations throughout this dynamic nation.”

“In Leadership, we often talk about the importance of interdependency. In the same spirit, CCL joins hands with SPJIMR to optimize our efforts to advance the understanding, practice and development of leadership for the benefit of society in the region and beyond,” Dr. Roland B Smith, CCL’s Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Managing Director added.

“It has always been SPJIMR’s mission to create value-based leaders for Indian society. What we have realised is that the demands of leadership in different sectors and different contexts are different. To drive this value-based growth and value-based leadership, we need to research alternative contexts and CCL being a global leader in leadership research is the ideal partner for us as we undertake this journey,” said Dr. Ranjan Banerjee, SPJIMR Dean.
