Greensboro, NC – In a new column for Chief Learning Officer magazine, CCL senior faculty members Stephanie Trovas and Richard Walsh explore “7 Ways to Support Functional Leaders.” Drawing from their extensive experience as lead faculty for CCL’s Leading for Organizational Impact open-enrollment program, Trovas and Walsh discuss what chief learning officers can do to help functional leaders juggle the pressures of leading the business day to day while also thinking broadly and strategically about the future.
Trovas’ and Walsh’s insights, captured in greater detail in their CCL white paper Leading with Impact: How Functional Leaders Face Challenges, Focus Development and Boost Performance, positions CLOs to support the success of leaders in such functions as marketing, sales, human resources and strategy. Their advice ranges from considering company culture, talent and structural design to creating targeted feedback and mentoring opportunities.
