Because this occurs due to competing copies, you will need to delete all copies of that book from your My Digital Editions file (your eBook folder in your My Documents folder). Once the eBooks and the competing vouchers are removed from your system, you can download the book again from the emailed link provided to you — this time with no competing vouchers. CCL can also generate the link for you or forward the email to you if it had been deleted. This subsequent download should no longer contain the error, should no longer come up blank and should be now readable.
