Bio - Cheng Zhu

Cheng Zhu
Cheng's areas of expertise include global leadership, adult learning, and psychology. Her work centers on leading change, innovation, coaching, and negotiation. Her dissertation analyzes how China's top private-enterprise CEOs addressed their leadership challenges. She conducted research at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she employed multi-disciplinary approaches to study best leadership practices in various organizations. She was also on the faculty of the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Her publications examined business and public leadership in China.
During her tenure as President of Harvard Graduate Council and President of Student Government Association of the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), Cheng twice received the "Outstanding Service Award" from the Harvard Provost and the HGSE Dean. Cheng also received teaching and research awards from Harvard.
Cheng holds a B.A. from Beijing University and a Masters and Doctorate from Harvard University.
