CCL Makes Debut in China
The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) brings over 40 years of experience in innovation and global leadership development to both local and international organizations.
January 15, 2013 - Singapore - The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), a top-ranked, global provider of leadership development and research, announced today the setting up of its China office in Shanghai. The new office will serve as a hub for partnering with both domestic and multi-national companies, helping them increase their business and productivity.
Founded in 1970, CCL has nine offices around the world and works annually with more than 20,000 individual leaders and 2,000 organizations. Among the organizations it has served are Barclays PLC, Pfizer Inc., S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. Sime Darby Berhad, Singapore Economic Development Board, SPX Corporation, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. State Department, Shanghai GM, Volvo and World Bank/IFC.
A standard setter for leadership development and research, CCL has earned a Top 10 ranking in the Financial Times worldwide survey of executive education for 11 consecutive years — and remains the only institution among 50 in the survey, that specializes in leadership development and research. CCL also ranked among the world's top providers of executive education in a biennial BusinessWeek survey released in 2011.
"For many companies, developing growth strategies in the China market has become a number one priority and attracting and nurturing talent have become critical to success. Making that happen requires first-rate leadership that is in tune with the unique dynamics and rapid shifts of the Chinese market. This is where CCL's extensive expertise and proven methods can help," said Sureish Nathan, Vice President and Managing Director, CCL Asia Pacific.
CCL's launch comes precisely at the moment when the Chinese Government has made enhancing the country's innovation capabilities a top goal, with innovation one of the key targets of China's 12th five-year plan. Across industry sectors, companies in China face a common problem — attracting, developing and retaining necessary talent needed to accomplish this goal.
"China has made tremendous progress in socio-economic development in the past three decades, but also faces critical challenges in the areas of innovation, organizational effectiveness, and global leadership. We look forward to sharing what we know about leadership with organizations here and also learning from them," added Dr Harvey Chen, Chairman of CCL China Board of Advisors.
CCL has offices in Singapore; New Delhi-NCR, India; Brussels, Belgium; Moscow, Russia; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Greensboro, North Carolina; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and San Diego, Calif., staffed with highly skilled faculty, coaches and researchers. Through this global network of talent, CCL brings learning to life that ultimately accelerates the leadership impact of clients and the people they lead.
