CCL Names Executive Coach Prasad Kaipa as New Visiting Fellow

Dr. Prasad KaipaJune 22, 2010 - Greensboro, NC - Executive coach and strategic advisor Dr. Prasad Kaipa, who has worked with more than 100 senior executives and board members globally, will serve as the Center for Creative Leadership's new H. Smith Richardson Visiting Fellow for 2010-2011.

As founder of the Kaipa Group, he helps individual clients drive greater performance and innovation by aligning their aspirations and passions with the strategies of their companies. Kaipa has coached top executives in such Fortune 500 companies as Adobe, Disney and Raytheon and in entrepreneurial companies including Aztec and Polaris. He is a visiting professor and was executive director of the Center for Leadership, Innovation and Change at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Saybrook University in San Francisco.

"Dr. Kaipa is one of the top executive coaches in the world," said David G. Altman, executive vice president of research, innovation and product development at CCL. "He has a remarkable track record of global leadership and a commitment to improving the human condition. We're very fortunate to partner with him."

Kaipa's interests include innovative mindsets, transformational leadership, change management, global leadership and management team learning and board member development. His work helps clients develop new business models and products, assess their intangible assets and tap into their entrepreneurial skills.

"I am honored to serve as a visiting fellow at CCL, where I've found the researchers to be not only premier thinkers but also curious, open and fun," Kaipa said. "I am excited to be part of the CCL team for the next year. I hope to co-write papers and book chapters, explore tools and frameworks and converse on such areas as affordable innovation, wisdom leadership, and the role of spirituality and brain research in leadership development."

Earlier in his career, Kaipa served as a senior manager at Apple and as a research fellow in Apple University. Also a former manager in international product marketing, he earned his Ph.D. in physics and helped build an international research laboratory at the University of Utah. Kaipa and co-author Dr. Mark Kriger are currently writing Leadership and the Many Ways of Knowing, which includes interviews with many high-achieving executives, politicians, scientists, artists and athletes.
