2009 News Release
CCL Names New Vice President for Asia-Pacific

March 9, 2009 - Singapore - The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®), a top-ranked, global provider of executive education, has named Sureish D. Nathan as Vice President of its Asia-Pacific operations, effective immediately.

Nathan most recently served as Director of Executive Education at the National University of Singapore Business School, where he secured numerous blue-chip clients for customized leadership programs and doubled revenues over three years. Prior to that, he was Associate Director of Career Services at the Singapore campus of INSEAD, a leading executive education provider.

"Sureish brings to CCL 15 years of executive and management experience in highly-respected organizations throughout Asia," said CCL President and CEO John R. Ryan. "He has demonstrated considerable strength in many areas critical to CCL's future, particularly client focus, strategic partnerships and business development. We feel privileged to have him join us."

Before moving into the education sector, Nathan worked in Malaysia as Senior Manager of Business Development for Maxis Communications Berhad, the country's leading mobile phone service provider. There he partnered with sales and product marketing colleagues to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new technologies. Earlier, he served as Business Development Manager in the Wireless & Internet Services division of Hewlett Packard Asia-Pacific, earning company-wide recognition for winning market share and greatly increasing revenues in the region.

Nathan received an M.A. in Asian Studies and a B.S. in Business Administration at the University of Oregon in the United States of America.

"As the Asia-Pacific region becomes an integral part of global commerce and governance, there is a deep desire to develop leaders who can adapt Asian perspectives for global impact," Nathan said. "I am excited by the tremendous opportunities this presents for CCL. With our cutting-edge research and innovative array of programs, coaching and assessment services, CCL can play a leading role in advancing the practice and understanding of leadership in the region."

Since opening its Singapore office in 2004, CCL has served multinational and domestic companies, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions throughout Asia-Pacific.
