2008 News Release
Leadership Development Program (LDP)® in French

July 31, 2008 - Brussels - For the first time, the Center for Creative Leadership's flagship Leadership Development Program (LDP) will be offered to francophone executives and senior managers. "This LDP is the first program of its kind to be offered entirely in French, from assessments to feedback and course work," says Allan Calarco, CCL EMEA Group Manager. "The first session will be held at the Regus conference facilities in the centre of the Brussels on 26 - 30 January, drawing French-speaking participants from Europe and Africa."

CCL currently works with French global companies including Alstom, Sodexo, and Imerys to offer a tailored LDP. "This new open enrolment LDP will give clients flexibility to send their executives through a French-language program on an as-needed basis," adds Calarco.

LDP has been in use for more than 30 years and is ranked as one of the top programs of its kind. Continually updated with the most recent leadership research, this developmental process uses a variety of in-depth self-awareness tools and activities to enhance leadership capabilities. Participants learn strategies for continuous development through extensive assessment, group discussions, self-reflection, small-group activities and personal coaching.

LDP alumni typically describe it as the most transformational development experience they have ever had, both personally and professionally. "One of the great values of the Leadership Development Program is the opportunity to spend time understanding why things are going as they are in your life and which changes you can make to influence the outcome," observes LDP alumna Heli Helanummi-Cole, a senior manager at Nokia.

"Nokia is very good with training and it's always interesting meeting with your colleagues from different parts of the company," continues Helanummi-Cole, who is channel planning and implementation manager for the company's Vertu subsidiary. "But one of the bonuses of attending LDP is that you meet so many people from different industries and you get the chance to look at things from different viewpoints."

Participants are urged to register early for the 24 places at the French LDP launch session in Brussels in January 2009, not only to secure a place at this innovative program but also to allow adequate time for assessment and feedback analysis. Francophone experts in CCL's Brussels office will be happy to answer any questions about the program schedule and components as well as logistics.

"This entirely-French LDP is a key component of the Center for Creative Leadership's language strategy, not only for EMEA but globally," says Rudi Plettinx, VP and Managing Director, CCL EMEA. "It is one of many products, tools and services that have been launched or are in development to better serve leaders around the world."
