Leadership in Action aims to help practicing leaders and those who train and develop practicing leaders by providing them with insights gained in the course of CCL's educational and research activities. It also aims to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas between practitioners and CCL staff and associates.

  Leaders in top management can often feel isolated. For many such leaders, coaching—a formal engagement in which a qualified coach works with the leader in a series of dynamic, private sessions designed to establish and achieve clear goals that will result in improved business effectiveness for the leader, his or her team, and the organization—can be a powerful means of achieving the leader's full potential.
