In an "Era of Execution," organizations and their leaders are measured with an increasing focus on bottom-line performance and a drive toward metrics that may not be the definitive factor in organizational success. Often original thought is unrewarded and credit is overlooked in the path to efficiency measures, time-to-market and bottom-line results. Pete Hammett raises the question of what characteristics outside of fiscal success distinguishes an effective executive from an ineffective one. Such topics are discussed as "value-based" versus "results-oriented" decision-making, time-scale of focus, incorporation of a "greater good" measure in quality of executive leadership, and the level of influence an executive actually exerts on an organization.
A new Leading Effectively Webinar from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) shares insights from the book, Unbalanced Influence: Recognizing & Resolving the Impact of Myth and Paradox in Executive Performance.
In this session you will develop an understanding of the following myths and paradoxes senior executives often face in their journey to become effective leaders and to lead successful organizations:

- Values, ethics and the "performance" paradox
