Team Government presenting at the Training Officer's Consortium (TOC) Annual Institute

Chicago is the place to be this Spring! The Center is a Bronze Sponsor, Exhibitor and Presenter at the annual ASTD International Conference & Expo. This is the largest conference for workplace learning and performance professionals. Approximately 8,000 global participants from 70 countries are expected to attend. The Education Program comprises 300 sessions in five tracks. — Learning Design & Facilitation, Learning Technologies, Developing People, Implementing Solutions, and Personal Development. The expo will host 300-400 exhibitors representing the field's top suppliers. 39th SPBT Annual Conference

CCL faculty member, Karen Addison, was selected to present again at the annual SPBT conference. She will contribute a workshop titled — Leading Through Change: the Human Side. This session will challenge participants to understand human behavior during times of change and how to implement tools to help people move effectively through change. This topic fits in perfectly with the conference theme "Transform Learning Today" which represents the need for change at the personal, departmental, and industry level. The Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers (SPBT) is a worldwide nonprofit organization aimed at supporting trainers at pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic companies. SPBT was established in 1971 and has a membership of more than 1,200 trainers employed by over 300 pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic companies around the globe. Past Center Connections
We had 49 enthusiastic executive level human resource, training and development professionals, and learning officers from the Denver and Colorado Springs region at the recent Center Connection event onsite at Invesco Field at Mile High. Participants were especially engaged with the Leadership Visual Explorer Cards used to promote table group discussions. The most common challenges these organizations are facing include a changing environment with new leadership, re-engaging a reduced workforce, and managing health and stress. (more...)
