Drawing from the nationally acclaimed book, Life Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives, this new Leading Effectively webinar from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) challenges participants to create lives and work of purpose, service, and significance. With a solid understanding of strengths, passions, and values and a clear vision of the future you want, leaders can best work towards goals that help you achieve "the good life." By living and working in such an intentional manner and knowing the right questions to ask, you can better inspire teams to align their work with their strengths, passion, and purpose, and in turn, more fully commit to a set of short term and long-term goals that are guaranteed to improve organizational performance.
In this session you will learn:
- To define what it means to be a "life entrepreneur" (i.e. creating a life of significance through opportunity recognition, innovation, and action) and applying it to your own journey
- To align your team's strengths, passions, and purpose with longer-term organizational goals
- To set measurable and time-bound incremental goals with your team to increase overall performance
- To integrate your life and your work so both work towards your purpose
Maximizing the Value of the Webinar
- Invite others to participate. Structure a group "lunch and learn" session and invite other colleagues to attend.
- Debrief the lessons learned. Set aside time at the end of the Webinar to discuss takeaways, and how they apply to your group or organization
- Tap into your training budget. Ask your HR group or manager to underwrite the Webinar as part of your organization's ongoing staff development effort.
