About the Presenter

Bill Adams Bill is a former career military officer, paratrooper and Ranger. He developed and trained awardwinning units in his operational assignments. He also has 11 years of higher education teaching experience during his military career. Bill directed the Center for Enhanced Performance at West Point for five years. He and his staff developed the full potential of over 4,000 student-athletes and leaders through applied performance psychology training resulting in league and national championships and Olympic appearances and medals. Bill and his staff developed and delivered performance enhancement curricula to over 15,000 Army leaders credited with improving organizational performance in a combat zone. This work resulted in the formal establishment of an Army-wide performance enhancement curriculum and nine Army Centers for Enhanced Performance. Previously, Bill served as the Professor of Military Science at Duke University and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership at West Point for three years each. While at Duke, he co-authored a nation-wide Army ROTC leadership curriculum for over 470 colleges and universities nationwide affecting over 20,000 students. Prior to joining CCL, Bill was the co-founder and principle for The Center for Advanced Performance, a management consulting firm based in Greenville, SC. Bill and his partners delivered performance enhancement training, leadership and talent development, and organizational effectiveness consulting to Fortune 500 companies, smaller manufacturers and professional service firms, and the federal government. Bill earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a M.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech. He is certified to deliver feedback in CCL-proprietary 360-degree assessments, Conflict Dynamics Profile, Workplace Big Five 4.0, and other psychometric assessment instruments. |
