A new Leading Effectively webinar from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) shares insights from the fieldbook, Developmental Assignments: Creating Learning Experiences without Changing Jobs. The premise of this fieldbook is that job moves are not the only route to developmental assignments; shaping your current job and nonwork pursuits may be a more practical way to stretch and grow as a leader. The webinar focuses on ways to more intentionally seek out and design your own developmental assignments (and help others do the same).

About the Presenter
Cynthia McCauley, Ph.D., is an industrial-organizational psychologist and a senior fellow at CCL. Since joining the Center in 1984, she has conducted research on 360-degree feedback instruments, the impact of leadership development programs, learning through job assignments, developmental relationships, and leadership in nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. McCauley co-developed two of the Center's assessment instruments, Benchmarks® and the Job Challenge Profile®. She is author of the fieldbook Developmental Assignments: Creating Learning Experiences without Changing Jobs and coeditor of The Center for Creative Leadership Handbook of Leadership Development.
