Many leaders assume that image building is superficial and therefore unimportant, but you can benefit from knowing how you come across to others and making improvements if necessary. This doesn't mean creating a false image, but recognizing genuine aspects of yourself that should be coming across to other people—but aren't. Crafting your image requires you to gain a clear picture of the image people are currently perceiving, decide what image you would like to portray, develop the skills to close the gap, and practice. It takes skill and practice to be comfortable in your leadership role and to have an image to match.

In this session you learn:

  • Why it is important to manage your leadership image
  • How to assess your image
  • How to choose your image
  • How to practice your image

Maximizing the Value of the Webinar

  • Invite others to participate. Structure a group "lunch and learn" session and invite other colleagues to attend.
  • Debrief the lessons learned. Set aside time at the end of the Webinar to discuss takeaways, and how they apply to your group or organization
  • Tap into your training budget. Ask your HR group or manager to underwrite the Webinar as part of your organization's ongoing staff development effort.
