Accommodations
Reservations
Participants stay at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla Hotel.
The cost of lodging is not included in your program tuition and you are responsible for making your own hotel
reservations. We strongly encourage you to stay at the preferred hotel listed under the Accommodations tab on
myCCL, which becomes available to you upon registration for your program. CCL participants will receive a group
rate at this preferred hotel, which includes transportation to and from CCL. Staying at a different hotel will
not afford you these amenities or the opportunity to interact with the other participants in your program.
Please note that the deadline for reservations at the preferred hotel is set a month prior to your program and
the group allocation is limited. After that deadline, you may lose the preferred hotel price and a reservation
at the hotel.
Check in / Check out times
You are encouraged to arrive the night before the program begins. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time at all hotels is 12:00 noon. Reservations are guaranteed for a late arrival. Proximity to CCL's facility: The Center's training facility is located on the 11th floor of the Aventine Building (housed within the same complex as the hotel). If you have physical limitations that would make this short walk difficult, please call +1 858 638 8000. Please visit www.aventine.com for more information.
Driving directions
Exit the airport and follow the signs to I-5 North. Exit at La Jolla Village Drive and turn right. Turn right again at Lebon. Turn right on University Center Lane. (10 miles)
Parking
Self-parking is available at the Hyatt which is connected to the CCL facilities in the Aventine Building for $20 per day. Valet parking is available for an additional fee.
Data ports
The Hyatt Regency La Jolla offers an in-room data port.
Airport
You will fly into the San Diego International Airport. The hotel and CCL are approximately 20 minutes from the airport. At the airport, you may arrange for transportation by using the courtesy phones in the baggage claim area for various vendors. A shuttle service will cost $12-$15 and a cab will cost $25-$30. We recommend arriving the night before your program begins and booking a return flight no earlier than 2 hours after the close of your course.
Dress
Dress is business casual. Dress comfortably — even for dinner. Temperatures vary in the classroom; a light jacket, sweater or long-sleeved shirt may be needed.
We do not offer an area for participants to check their e-mail or hook up their computers to the Internet. Our goal is to remove you from your normal work environment while at the Center, so we prefer that you check your e-mail from your hotel room (all hotels used by CCL offer in-room data ports).
Invoices
Invoices are processed at the time of registration and payment is due upon receipt.
Meals and Snacks

If you have special dietary requirements, please contact Client Services at +1 336 545 2810 before the program begins and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Vegetarian and low fat options are available.

Pre-course Materials
What are pre-course materials
Pre-course materials are assessment tools that are a central part of the program experience. These may include items like a 360-degree assessment tool or an organizational survey. By completing these materials, you provide us with information on your leadership style and work environment, allowing us to tailor your personal development plans based on your specific needs.
Shipping of materials
Your packet of pre-course assessment materials is shipped approximately eight weeks prior to your program date (allow five business days for shipping).
Time to complete
Pre-course assessment materials will require approximately 8-10 hours to complete, depending on your program. Please begin early, so that you aren't forced to rush through the material. An early start will also allow ample time for the raters you select to complete their materials. Specific instructions about distributing and completing these forms are included in your pre-course assessment materials packet.
Pre-course materials deadline
In order to attend the program, it is very important to distribute, complete, and return these materials to CCL 4 weeks prior to the start of the program. Your assessment feedback is an integral part of the program experience. Missing the deadline will jeopardize your attendance in this program. If you anticipate that you will not have your pre-course materials completed before the due date, please call Client Services at +1 336 545 2810 to transfer now to avoid cancellation or transfer fees.
Recreational Activities
Due to time constraints of the program, there is limited time allotted for sightseeing or recreational activities during the week of the program. We encourage you to arrive in San Diego a few days early, or stay a few days after the close of the program if you wish to partake in local recreational activities.
Schedule / Program Hours
When you arrive at the hotel, you will receive a welcome letter that will include detailed program information. Course schedules vary, but generally, your course will begin at 8:00 a.m. daily. Most courses end between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., with the exception of the final day of five-day courses, which ends at noon. Participants are given an hour for lunch and several breaks throughout the day for snacks, checking voice mail, and bathroom breaks. It is imperative that you attend all scheduled program activities.
Smoking
The Center is a non-smoking facility indoors. Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside of the building.
Special Dietary Needs
If you have special dietary requirements, please contact Client Services at 336 545 2810 before the program begins and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Vegetarian and low fat options are available.
Telephones
We request that participants turn off all cell phones and pagers, or turn them to vibrate if emergency calls must be accepted. Telephones are located outside of the classrooms and breaks are given throughout the day to check voice mail and make calls.
