As part of our global expansion, the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) is seeking talented professionals to drive our growth in the Asia Pacific region. For over four decades, CCL has conducted research and provided a broad variety of leadership development solutions to leaders and organizations. CCL is celebrating its seventh year in Singapore and has recently established a presence in India. Director, Research Innovation and Product Development
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the creation and implementation of an Asia Pacific research agenda that translates directly to product development, and disseminate knowledge that advances the fields of leadership and leadership development in the Asia Pacific region and globally
- Lead a regional research team in the creation and selection of research projects that contribute to the APAC research objectives; manage performance, productivity and priorities to ensure delivery deadlines and quality of research
- Collaborate with APAC and global CCL enterprise groups to bring relevant, research-based products and services to the regional and global markets
- Expand CCL's global knowledge development and dissemination in the Asia Pacific and contribute to raising the awareness, profile and exposure of CCL APAC in our client markets
- Lead and participate in seeking 3rd party funding, grant, and partnership opportunities to extend and support CCL Research, Innovation & Product Development (RIPD) efforts; create tools and processes that lead to more effective and efficient partnering and funding relationships in the APAC region.
- Actively supports business development and building brand awareness in APAC by respectively engaging in client-facing interactions with the Client Solutions team, and presenting at business events that position CCL as a thought-leader
- Participate on product development teams tasked with converting knowledge generated by research into programs, products and services for CCL clients
- Develop existing talent and recruit additional talent; provide mentoring, coaching and career guidance that ensures retention and optimal performance
- Increase the depth and quality of institutional and individual research collaborations at the project level
- In collaboration with the CCL Evaluation Team based in the U.S., advance evaluation services as a line of business in APAC; build evaluation capability and expand delivery of evaluation services to APAC clients
Required Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in the social and behavioral sciences.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in quantitative and qualitative applied social science research.
- Successful experience creating client-focused products based on research results
- Track record of publications in peer reviewed journals
- Executive presence and extensive client-facing experience
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and obtain external resources (e.g., grants, internships, post docs) as well as extramural funding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for making presentations and authoring research findings for a variety of audiences.
- Previous people management experience and ability to lead a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required for effective interactions with CCL clients, faculty, and other staff
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Academic knowledge of leadership and/or leadership development (or a related field), plus advanced study and knowledge of applications usually associated with a doctoral degree.
- Background in one or more content areas directly related to research projects.
- Ability to direct project teams and manage staff.
- Ability to work as part of a global team with regional responsibilities.
- Ability to extract usable research findings and translate into application for organizations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Working knowledge of computer data analysis packages.
